Our communication within the company doesn’t stop at work-related tasks and corporate questions. We host the annual CS:GO Kazdream Global Cup Esports tournament. In 2022, 6 teams representing different Kazakh IT companies competed. A team from Kazdream, team BERKUT, eventually won the competition.
Reboot is our internal conference where we conclude the year's results and make plans for the upcoming year and the future. For two days, all Kazdream teams get immersed in the atmosphere of active collaboration, getting to know different departments, products, and each other. Employees share their experience managing projects, mistakes and difficulties, and achievements and victories. The conference has been held every year since 2018 and is always full of emotions and drive.
A healthy lifestyle is one of the values of Kazdream. We believe that only a mentally and physically fit person can be truly effective; therefore, the company pays a lot of attention to employees' sporting activities. Kazdreamers actively participate in triathlons, bike rides, marathons, and sports tournaments. In 2022, 5 employees, including the CEO, participated in the Ironman race in Astana. 19 employees ran the Astana Marathon, and 96 people became participants in the "Borovoe" bike ride.
We genuinely believe that the recipe for a successful company is inspired and energetic people; therefore, we make teams at work and outside of office environments. Twice a year, we organize summer and winter events. Our companies take teambuilding preparation seriously; they select a theme, conclude results, and set goals for the future. We hold our teambuilding in nature outside the city, where we have friendly competitions, play games, and sing songs by the fire.
Every year we organize bike rides, masterclasses, and different activities, the raised funds of which go to our charity fund, “+1”. In 2020, Dauren Tulebayev, CEO, opened a SUP-board club in Kazdream to introduce employees to sports and help the charity fund simultaneously. Everyone has the opportunity to ride sup boards during summertime, participate in masterclasses, and help raise funds that will support the charity's mission.

The device is an analog of Apple’s Siri and Amazon’s Alexa, the new technology is capable of supporting conversation, giving advice and answering questions about the weather or the exchange rate in Kazakh and mixed Kazakh-Russian languages.
According to its creators, the primary aim of the gadget is to popularize the Kazakh language. While smart technologies are rising in demand for the public, few of them have been adopted into Kazakh. The new gadget’s goal is to create more comfortable usage for the rapidly growing Kazakh-speaking population and to make sure Kazakh speakers are included by smart homes and smart offices technologies.
While the device functions as a smart speaker, it is also expected to be used as a separate mobile app. The assistant currently does not have a name but its developers are planning on finishing the project and introducing it to the mass market by the end of the year.
“As you know, Alisa (digital voice assistant by Yandex) speaks Russian and Siri was created mainly for English-speaking users. In houses where Kazakh is spoken, Alisa does not respond to requests. Accordingly, the idea was born to create a Kazakh smart speaker in our native language. The primary task is to popularize the language and introduce the gadget as an assistant that knows Kazakh for everyday life or for the office,” said Nurgozha Kaliaskar, head of the project at Kazdream.
Kazdream partnered with Speech.kz laboratory to collect data and devise the gadget.
“We started working in 2019. The process was very long. We collected data manually. The recognition accuracy of our Kazakh and mixed languages is now over 75 percent. We are even approaching 80 percent. And this is the best figure in the country,” said Head of Speech.kz Dinara Alimova.
Within the framework of the same project, Kazakh users will be able to convert audio in the Kazakh language into text on the laboratory’s website. This technology is aimed to help visually impaired users in particular.
